Japanese Calligraphy

An Ancient Art Form

The art of calligraphy has been around since the 28th century B.C. when ancient pictographs were painted and carved into bones for religious purposes. Calligraphy made it's way to Japan in approximately 600 A.D., and is still practiced today both in school curriculums and as an art form. It's even become a popular style around the world thanks to it's thick, beautiful lines and distinctive aesthetic.
