About the Designer

Jacob Jensen founded his studio in 1958 and has since designed HiFi systems, telephones and watches. His work is in a special niche between two major design movements of the 20th century— the European Bauhaus tradition and the American consumer-oriented MAYA principle "Most Advanced Yet Acceptable" (as advanced yet acceptable), the design icon Raymond Loewy established. He has exhibited at MoMA, NYC and in international spaces.
