“Mechanically Customized”- does this mean they actually wind up and “flutter”/ move?

If you are curious if this moves, the answer is no. It is a stationary sculpture, that incorporates previously working mechanisms. Because they are real insects, expired and dry, any additional movement would make them wear down and deteriorate.
