The HYT H4 Metropolis demonstrates the interplay between classic mechanical horology and HYT's innovative fluid technology, while introducing a third element—light.
The mysterious addition of a second pusher serves to activate two concealed LEDs that, in darkness, flood each crevice of the 3-dimensional display with blue light. This serves to illuminate both the classic elements of this unusual timepiece, as well as the watch's unique and patented borosilicate glass capillary time display, where one of a pair of bellows pushes colored liquid from 6 o'clock around the dial to mark the passage of the day. Once the display is filled, the other bellows pushes clear liquid into the capillary display - the visual and liquid counterpart to a retrograde hand.
This poetic complication serves as a complement to classic technical precision, with a hand-wound 35 jewel exclusive skeleton movement adorned with hand-bevelled bridges. A 65-hour power reserve indication and the functional dual rhodium-plated pistons complete the display.
