The Hobot-298 is an innovative, gravity-defying robot that makes it simple to keep your windows, tile, and more sparkling clean. This small but mighty cleaning robot is equipped with a powerful vacuum that allows it to stand on the surface of the glass while simultaneously removing dirt and impurities. In addition, a large microfiber cleaning cloth attached to the bottom efficiently wipes away dust to leave surfaces clean and shiny.

The HOBOT-268 is outfitted with two caterpillar treads that allow it to move at a speed of over 4.5" per second, so it can effectively clean over 10.5 square feet in just 2.5 minutes. Its integrated laser sensor precisely measures the surface area that needs to be cleaned, and features automatic obstacle and frame detection so it can freely work on any surface— even frameless windows.

The adjustable pneumatic pad automatically controls the driving force and keeps the force between the caterpillar treads and cleaning cloth in proportion, so the HOBOT-268 can handle even extremely dirty surfaces without interruption or slipping. Once the job is complete, the HOBOT-268 automatically shuts down, but the combination of a high strength safety rope and the embedded UPS (Uninterrupted Power System) prevents the robot from falling while there is no electric power supply.

How is this holding onto the window?

Robot has strong air suction pump that allows it to firmly attach to the window. It also comes with a safety rope and a carabiner to clip on to a hard object in case of a power outage to prevent a fall. If a power outage occurs, built-in battery would keep the robot on a window for 20 mins.

Can this be used on second story windows from outside? If so, how do you get these to the windows?

Yes, it can be used on any outside window regardless of the floor or elevation. You do have to be able to reach the window to place the robot on it. Typically second floor and up, you need to have a way to reach the outside of a window from the inside.

How long is the cord?

HOBOT-298 is included with 20 feet extension cord. For larger areas, you can get an additional extension cord of the length of your choosing.

Which is it the Hobot 268 or 298?

This is HOBOT-298. It's a newer spin-off, upgraded version of HOBOT-268, with ultrasonic water spray and app control.

Does this clean the outside windows?

Yes, it can clean the outside windows.

It’s nice but I still find this very dangerous to use, it doesn’t seem practical for me sorry. What if you leave it and forget about it and come back later? Maybe by then it already fell and hurt someone.

That's why the unit comes with a safety rope and a carabiner to clip on to a hard object to prevent an unlikely fall. There is an internal UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) battery to keep the robot running on a window for 20 mins in case of a power outage. Safety is our top priority!
