Product Description
Henri Matisse (1869-1954) was a French artist, known for his use of expressive colors and his fluid and original style. He was a draughtsman, printmaker, and sculptor, but is known primarily as a painter, regarded as one of the artists who helped define the revolutionary developments in visual arts throughout the first part of the twentieth century. By the 1920's, he was increasingly hailed as an upholder of the classical tradition in French painting.
