Haven Mech // Home Security Lock System

Haven Mech only works when you are inside the home via the foot pedal. It is great for side doors or back doors that you do not use often. Mech is also good for the main door that you want to secure at night when you go to sleep. Both Haven Connect and Haven Mech are secured to the floor via wood screws (included in the box) or concrete screws. Haven Lock uses 6 screws to secure the lock to the floor. The screw install will get you the most stopping strength. We have tested the screw install to be about 10x stronger than a deadbolt. We also offer a 3M tape install, which is available on our website. The 3M Tape install option offers less strength at the convenience of simply sticking the lock to your floor instead of drilling into the floor.

Haven Lock is .8 inches when unlocked and 1.5 inches when locked. In order to find out if you need to raise the lock at all, take the distance from the bottom of your door to the floor. In this case, it is 1.5 inches. Take that amount and subtract .25 inches. We are left with .25 inches, which means we need to raise the lock that amounts for it to work with this door threshold. Each lock comes with a riser that is .111 inches high. So if you needed to raise it .25 inches you would need 3 risers in total. Floor to Door Height Guidelines:

< .8 inches -- Not enough space for Haven, you can alter your door a bit to allow Haven to fit

.8 inches to 1.25 inches -- Sweet spot, no alteration or riser needed. Haven will fit perfectly.

> 1.25 inches -- May need risers. Take the total distance from the bottom of your door to the floor, subtract 1.25 inches, and you will have the amount you need to raise the lock.
