Mr. Brainwash (or just MBW) is the alias used by French-American street artist Thierry Guetta. Heavily influenced by Banksy and the street artist Invader, his work is cerebral, with a distinctive graffiti flair. At his debut exhibit, some of his piece sold for over five figures, and he is also known for designing the cover art for Madonna's album "Celebration". There is also a popular theory in the art community that suggests Mr. Brainwash is actually an elaborate prank and satirical alter ego maintained by Banksy himself, although Banksy maintains that this is not true.
