Takashi Murakami // An Homage To Yves Klein - Multicolor A // 2012
Product Description
Takashi Murakami is a Japanese contemporary artist known for blurring the line between high and low arts. Accomplished in everything from painting and sculpture, to fashion and animation, he is well regarded for his use of color, incorporation of modern and traditional Japanese, and a subject matter that can often be described as "cute" or even "psychedelic".
He coined the term superflat, which describes both the aesthetic characteristics of the Japanese artistic tradition and the nature of post-war Japanese culture and society. Superflat is also used as a moniker to describe Murakami’s own artistic style and that of other Japanese artists he has influenced.
