About the Designer
Contemporary artist Kim McCarthy (A.K.A. Urban Soule) has been featured in many design/dome decor magazines, books, and on television for her paintings. Her work can be found in major national home stores, resorts, restaurants, and private and corporate collections across the world. Her work as a visual artist has taken her art on a number of extraordinary adventures around the world, from Art Basel to Hollywood. She currently resides in Seattle where she is a member of numerous art and environmental groups that are dedicated to wildlife conservation. She also donates a percentage of her sales to help raise awareness and protect biodiversity. Using acrylic, latex, spray paints, stencils, ink, and collage, she creates images on almost any printable surface. Kim enjoys exploring the alleyways, streets, and city surfaces for ideas. She's constantly trying new techniques and mediums to fine tune her work and grow as an artist.
