The blade itself is 1.5" at its widest and decreases in width as it tapers to the blade. The 3.75" of usable blade does not account for the curvature of the blade and look considerably larger in hand. Although this handle is only 4.75" in length it still has a very good grip and enough space for the average man's hand to hold comfortably.
