Longhorn
Product Description
Forged with a handle containing brass horns on each side, this one is named Longhorn after Texas, the Longhorn state. Designed with a slim handle style, Gozen have made sure the handle is long enough to comfortably fit a hand at 4.5". With looks being the main focus of this design, they had to scale the blade's usable length down to 2.5", which may lessen worries about carry law depending on where you live. With a rather thin blade width of 0.75", this knife is perfect for skinning/fileting fish, display or outdoor purposes. Sporting dual Damascus bolsters separated by a single cut of Olive wood, this knife looks exquisite and can still ably perform most duties. It makes a great EDC for showing off and is also a great knife to have for that several day outing you've been planning.
Longhorn's weight is around 160 grams on average. Damascus patterns, wood patterning and weight may vary as these are hand crafted and no two are exactly alike. The steels Gozen uses for their Damascus blend are 15n20 (2% nickel blend steel) and 1095 High Carbon Steel (~1% carbon blend steel), and are susceptible to rust like any high carbon blades. With proper care this knife will last a lifetime. Every knife ships pre-oiled with a sheath and care sheet, to assist you in caring for your new knife and ensure it lasts generations to come.
