Product Description

"Goza" is Spanish for "enjoy," and that's just what Goza Tequila invites you to do. Their award-wining craft tequila is made in small batches exclusively from hand-selected Blue Agave grown on their estate in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

The unique process all begins with the land where their agave is grown. Every single plant is estate grown, non-GMO, and solely fertilized with organic fertilizer. Once it reaches the distillery, the freshly harvested agave is immediately chopped into quarters and loaded into two 22-ton autoclaves to begin the cooking process. Cooking the agave brings out the natural occurring sugars in order for fermentation to occur. Goza's Master Distiller chooses to use an autoclave versus a traditional “horna” (wood burning oven) in order to minimize the influence of any outside flavor in this already perfectly delicious agave.

Once the piñas are cool, they move directly to the roller mills which crush the agave to release the juices. All the extracted juice is then moved into open tank stainless steel containers where they add two different yeast strains. While most Tequila is distilled using traditional copper pot stills, Goza is unique in that it uses six imported Alambic Armagnacais— a combination of a pot still and a column still.

The award-winning Goza Añejo is carefully distilled in small batches then aged in Elijah Craig 12 white-oak whiskey barrels for 12 months. The result is a complex, smooth tequila that’s perfect for sipping.
