Product Description

Since it opened to traffic in May of 1937, the world has had a love affair with San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. This manmade monument symbolized the strength and determination of the human spirit, and has fascinated many with its awesome size and beauty. After 56 years, the severe winds and salt air of the open ocean had begun to deteriorate the pedestrian handrail, and it was replaced in 1993.

This original handrail was acquired by Golden Gate Furniture Co. and transformed into a line of collector’s edition furniture and accessories that capture the historical spirit and style of this iconic landmark.

A limited edition of 280 pieces, this compact and lightweight Side Table is made from the pedestrian handrail channel-beam (base of rail) for visual interest. The table base can also be flipped to give the table a slightly different look.
