Glenfiddich was founded by William Grant to fulfill a lifelong ambition of creating the 'best dram in the valley.' For over 130 years, they are one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned. Their highly awarded single malt scotch is a true reflection of the passion, integrity, and innovative spirit championed by a traditional fermentation process that has been passed down through the generations.

Glenfiddich looked to France for the inspiration for Grande Couronne. The 26 year old single malt was initially matured in both American and European oak casks, before it was moved to French oak ex-Cognac casks for a lengthy two year finishing period. Something you don't see every day, it's brilliantly decadent stuff, presented in an appropriately embellished bottle and presentation box.

Tasting Notes
— Nose: Vibrant and lively with an abundance of toasty oak sweetness. Reminiscent of a French pâtisserie, freshly-baked Tarte Tatin and buttery choux pastry.
— Palate: Deep, velvety smooth and indulgently sweet. Café crème with soft brown sugar and a hint of spice.
— Finish: Very long-lasting sweet oak.
