About the Designer

Jason Utgaard grew up working in his family’s retail business and quickly recognized the potential for fashionable and functional products created from recycled materials. In the United States alone, approximately 18,000 pounds of stuff is sent to landfills every second. Utgaard sees tremendous opportunity in capturing these discarded materials, and developed Gaard as a brand focused on using recycled and reclaimed resources.
