Vitruvian Man, c. 1490 // Leonardo da Vinci // Framed
Product Description
Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519), was an Italian polymath whose areas of interest included invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, history, and cartography. The epitome of Renaissance ideals, he is often referred to as once of the greatest men who ever lived. Although he is perhaps best known as an artist, especially for such pieces as Vitruvian Man and Mona Lisa, he is also credited with some of the most oft-referenced scientific diagrams, as well as the invention of the helicopter, the parachute, the tank, and solar power. Very few of his original works still survive today.
