Septarian Egg
Product Description
This is an amazing Septarian “Dragon Egg” Geode from Madagascar. Septarian nodules formed as clay balls on the sea floor during the Cretaceous period — 70 million years ago. Over time, the balls cracked and were filled with minerals. The centre has beautiful, sparkling calcite crystals which are surrounded by a dramatic, polished exterior. The dark lines are aragonite and the greyish rock is limestone. This beautiful piece is bound to draw attention and spark conversations.
