This Lapis Lazuli natural sculpture has a striking triangular shape and deep blue coloration. It would add elegance and vibrancy to any home or office. It was polished to highlight its beautiful blue color and shimmering bands of golden pyrite and white calcite.

This piece was mined in Badakhshan in northeastern Afghanistan. This gorgeous gemstone was sought after by many cultures around the world for over 7,000 years. In the past, Lapis Lazuli was ground up to make the blue pigment ultramarine. Interestingly, Renaissance painters used this highly sought after and expensive pigment to paint robes of the Virgin Mary and dazzling sky scenes.
