Product Description

Hugh Glass was born in Pennsylvania in the early 1800’s. An adventure and explorer from a young age, in 1823, he joined an expedition to ascend the Missouri river. While scouting, Glass accidentally disturbed a Grizzly bear and her two cubs. He and his party were able to defeat the bear, but Glass was wounded so badly that his party believed him dead and left him behind. Glass was still alive however, and he managed to crawl 200 miles to Fort Kiowa, where he was given medical attention, and ultimately survived.

The look of this hunting knife was inspired by Hugh Glass, and other hardcore explorers of that era. The 7.5” blade has a classic look with a slight drop point, and the large stainless steel bolster will protect your fingers from sliding onto the blade. The large wood handle will give you superior control of the knife, even while wearing gloves. The sheath has been custom designed to be worn holster style under your arm. This protects the knife from the elements but also gives you quick access to the knife when you need it. Handmade of San Mai Steel, this hunting knife is meant to be used and will take a beating.
