Forseti Steel
Becknell Handmade Damascus Steel Hunting Knife
Product Description
William Becknell was a frontiersman and trader in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s. Becknell climbed the ranks quickly during the War of 1812, and eventually reached the rank of Captain. After the military Becknell began trading and working on trade routes, and would become known as the “Father of the Santa Fe Trail” for opening up trade with Mexico. Becknell led many other explorations for new routes and trapping expeditions before settling in Texas where he served as commander during the Texas Revolution and even served briefly as a Texas Ranger.
Medium in size, this modified clip-point blade would be very handy on the frontier. Whether cleaning an animal or hand-to-hand combat, the clip-point tapers and drops the center axis of the tip for a quicker and deeper puncture. The Micarta handle fits nicely into your hand, while a hole in the butt of the knife allows you to add lanyard if so desired. This full-tang Damascus steel knife is a piece of art that is as pleasing to use as it is to look at.
Each knife in this collection is individually handmade with the same dedication to detail, and with all-natural materials. This means that each knife will vary slightly in its exact color, shape, and pattern, so you can rest assured that absolutely no two knives - even of the same model - will ever look identical or mass-produced.
