Forseti Steel
Shackleton Damascus Steel Knife
Product Description
For almost a year, Shackleton and his crew were stranded at the South Pole near Elephant Island, surviving on penguin, seal, and whale meat for almost a year and a half. The long handle and deep belly blade make this Damascus knife the perfect tool for skinning and field work. Made of 1095 and 15n20 Damascus steel, the blade is hand-finished to a razorās edge.
Each knife in this collection is individually handmade with the same dedication to detail, and with all-natural materials. This means that each knife will vary slightly in its exact color, shape, and pattern, so you can rest assured that absolutely no two knives - even of the same model - will ever look identical or mass-produced.

Damascus steel can rust if not cared for properly. Do not keep Damascus steel in a leather sheath for long periods of time, as the leather can cause the steel to rust. Please be aware Damascus steel products will arrive fully coated in a protective, non-toxic mineral oil, which can be easily washed off before use. Damascus steel should be regularly oiled with any household oil over the course of its life to prevent corrosion.
