Victorio Apache Warrior Damascus Steel Dual Bolster Hunting Knife
Product Description
Victorio grew up during a time of hostility between the native Indians and the encroaching settlers from Mexico and America. In 1869, Victorio and his tribe were moved to an inhospitable reservation near San Carlos, Arizona, so Victorio moved his tribe to a more suitable area. The U.S. Army tried to move them back to San Carlos, but Victorio escaped with a group of warriors. For three years Victorio resisted the loss of his homeland and lead his warriors against the settlers along the Mexican and American border. In 1880, while riding along the Rio Grande in Mexico, Victorio and his warriors were surrounded and killed by the Mexican Army. Apache lore claims that Victorio actually took his own life with a knife rather than being captured.
This Victorio Apache Warrior Hunting Knife was named in honor of Victorio and it is designed after the classic style of a hunting knife. The 4.5" Damascus steel blade has 256 layers of folded steel and a slight drop point. With two chrome bolsters, bone inserts, and walnut, the contrasting materials give this knife a natural look and feel. This knife belongs on the belt of a hunter and will surely make an impression on everyone that sees it.
Each knife in this collection is individually handmade with the same dedication to detail, and with all-natural materials. This means that each knife will vary slightly in its exact color, shape, and pattern, so you can rest assured that absolutely no two knives - even of the same model - will ever look identical or mass-produced.
