Lillian Smith Handmade Damascus Steel Knife

Lillian rose to fame as a female sharp shooter at the time of Annie Oakley and the two quickly became rivals when the young girl joined Buffalo Bill's troup at the early age of 15. She caught his eye by showing off her impressive expertise at a show with her Ballard .22-caliber rifle. Her marksmanship that day was unfailing as she shot from the right shoulder, then left, even backwards over her shoulder without a single miss. Lillian's own father noticed her dexterity at age 6 when she brought down a sparrow with just a bow and arrow he had made for her. By her ninth birthday, he gifted her the Ballard .22 rifle she would later use to capture the attention of many.

Lillian Smith was quite boastful and crass for the age. She was extremely confident, often calling herself the "The World Champion", and would be condescending to Annie Oakley’s shooting. She drank and cursed like a sailor.
