All Forge to Table knives are made with 5 layer VG10 Steel, which is more resilient than standard carbon steel, and sharpens with ease for a finer edge. The durability of VG10 steel also prevents dulling and rusting. The "kurouchi", or blacksmith finish, is the signature of their forge in Southeast China. It not only looks good, it adds even more protection against daily wear and tear to ensure you can rely on these knives for years to come.

Each knife is slightly different, the tang differs based on the perfect balance point of the knife. In most, it is about 1/3 to 2/3 into the handle. Mainly it is about balance and performance, the blade is firmly mounted into the handle.
Do the knives have Forge to Table stamped into them or is this just in the photos?These knives feature the brand on the side of the blades to prove authenticity! The logo is lightly stamped into the blade during the forge process and is of a size and type that it will not collect and hold any food or effect performance of the blades in anyway.
