All Forge to Table knives are made with 5 layer VG10 Steel, which is more resilient than standard carbon steel, and sharpens with ease for a finer edge. The durability of VG10 steel also prevents dulling and rusting. The "kurouchi", or blacksmith finish, is the signature of their forge in Southeast China. It not only looks good, it adds even more protection against daily wear and tear to ensure you can rely on these knives for years to come.

FAQ
The amount you'll need to sharpen totally depends on how and how often it is used. Assuming normal home cook use, you'll easily get 6 months of use if not a whole year with just honing. If you're a professional using it many hours every day, I would recommend sharpening it every month or so. It is very easy to keep sharp though by honing it or on our sharpening system.
Does the knife have a leather casing?No, the knife doesn't come with a leather sheath.
