Based on the same principle as Feel Flux (Lenz's law) the Spin Flux delivers a unique tactile and visual experience. It's designed to deliver a smooth fidget experience based on advanced physics.

When you start to rotate the ball, the powerful magnet embedded inside the aluminum torus generates an electric current that counteracts the movement and tries to slow down the rotation. However, this effect only occurs when the ball is rotated in a way that alters its magnetic field. When you rotate the ball around its magnetic axis, the field remains intact and you feel no interaction, the ball spins freely.

It is this effect that makes Spin Flux such an interesting fidget toy: you never know how the ball is positioned inside the torus, but you can get to find it out by rotating the ball and listening to the smooth reaction forces. With a little practice, you'll be able to find the direction of the most and the least resistance, both resulting in a satisfying tactile experience.

How careful should I be in handling the ball?

The magnet included in the package is a super-strong neodymium magnet that should be kept away from watches, electronic devices and objects susceptible to strong magnetic fields.

What happens if the ball touches your phone/notebook in real-life? According to our experiences: nothing really, but it's still better to be careful and avoid being the first to experience a malfunction. Measurement devices, expensive mechanical watches, and pacemakers require the most careful attention.
The product should be kept away from places where the magnet can attract small magnetizable debris. The small particles can stick to the ball and damage the contact between the torus and the ball. If this arises, it is recommended to use a duct-tape to remove debris from the magnet.
