About the Designer

Beginning in 1989 in the basement of her Cincinnati home, Donna Salyers has grown Fabulous-Furs into the World’s leader in faux fur. Inspiration for Fabulous-Furs came over two decades ago as she was on her way to purchase a mink coat. On the car radio, Paul Harvey described kittens being skinned alive for “mink” teddy bears. Instead of buying a coat that day, she was inspired to create a luxurious alternative. Over twenty-five years later, Fabulous-Furs is the World’s Finest faux fur on the market today.

Fabulous-Furs are sold in fine boutiques, hotels and casinos throughout the country, as well as by retail giant ShopHQ, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.

Fabulous-Furs have appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Today Show, Miss USA/Universe, The View, CSI Las Vegas, Gossip Girl, Glee and many other TV shows. Donna has been profiled in People Magazine and twice in the Wall Street Journal as well as written up in Allure, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, In Style, Domino and many others.
