Berlin's legendary Avus race track opened in 1921. Only five years later, a hitherto unknown driver won the German Grand Prix there. As his engine wouldn't start, he was last to leave the grid, hustled his way in pouring rain through the field, and won. His name? Rudolf Carracciola. With its striking contrasts and lightning-quick play of colors, the new Avus Galaxy multi-effect paint is no less breathtaking. Depending on the angle of light striking it, the dazzling golden green is transformed into an extravagant rosewood under-laid with shades of aubergine and silver. The astonishing effect is achieved with special pigments which refract and reflect the light in a variety of ways, which is the origin of the many iridescent color effects, each with a unique character.
