FRX3+
Product Description
The FRX3+ American Red Cross Emergency NOAA Weather Radio is a must for anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency, complete with LED flashlight and integrated power bank.
This portable and lightweight emergency device receives AM/FM radio plus all seven NOAA weather band stations. When the “Alert” function is on, the radio will automatically broadcast emergency weather alerts for your area, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and severe storms.
The integrated 2600mAh rechargeable battery makes it easy to charge critical devices on the go. Simply plug your phone or other device into the USB port and it will charge your phone just like plugging into the wall.
This portable emergency radio has several power options to ensure you are prepared for any situation: solar panel, hand turbine, or DC input. Spin the hand turbine for one minute to get 10-15 minutes of radio and flashlight use or place the FRX3 in the sun for passive charging when outlets aren't available.

FAQ
The FRX3+ charges smartphones using charge from its internal Lithium Polymer battery. The Solar panel in the product absorbs sunlight over the course of the day to charge the radio’s internal battery. Due to the limited size of the solar panel it is best thought of as a power source to charge the internal battery for radio playback use.
Technically the FRX3+’s solar panel will charge the internal battery of the radio enough over the course of several days’ worth of sunlight to supply enough power to the battery that it can then charge a phone.
It is best to use the included USB cable to occasionally charge up the FRX3+’s internal battery completely and ensure that there is enough energy to charge your smartphone.
How long does it take to crank and charge the internal battery from dead to full?We recommend that the Ni-MH battery in the FRX3 be charged for 2 hours every 3 months with the mini USB charging cable that comes with the radio. Never allow the battery to go dead or beyond 1 bar (in the battery icon in the display).
Crank for 4 minutes to get 1 minute of talk time on most smartphones or 10-15 minutes of radio time and flashlight use.
No, this product does not have the capacity to jump start a car.
Is the crank made of plastic, aluminum, or another metal? The crank is made of aluminum.
