This item is made of Tempered Glass, which is approximately four times stronger than the surface of regular annealed (non-safety) glass of the same thickness. When broken, tempered glass shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces. This characteristic “dice” break pattern minimizes the risk of serious injury. The important thing is to avoid breakage by not hitting its corners or edges.
