About the Designer

Chef Emeril Lagasse received his first culinary experience from his mother, Hilda, when he was a boy growing up in the small town of Fall River, Massachusetts. He earned a degree from the respected culinary fortress, Johnson and Wales University, and is now the chef-proprietor of 13 restaurants in New Orleans, Las Vegas, Orlando Charlotte and Bethlehem.

Emeril went on to gain fame as a national TV personality on the Food Network. Most recently, Emeril joined the Bravo series, "Top Chef" at the judges’ table. In 2012, he also began filming a new TV show for the Cooking Channel, Emeril’s Florida, which will air in late January 2013. Emeril is also the author of 17 bestselling cookbooks.
