The Evolution video rig is compatible with smartphones, DSLR, and action cameras, and can carry a combination of them. The improved optics module is compatible with any new phones and multi-camera systems. Dual ergonomic grips and 2 patented aluminum tracks form a transformable but durable frame that lets you easily connect external optics and accessories like filters, shadow hood, and the external lenses for cinematic video effects.

These patented tracks enable you to choose from 5 grip positions, expanding the number of possible setup options to make the best custom fit. The included accessories and connectors provide vertical layout options for smartphone shooting as well as a traditional horizontal layout. Now videographers can enjoy shooting with two cameras on the same rig with the option to use different footage layouts simultaneously to fit your streaming or video sharing channels.

The new Barndoor System on the LED lamps helps direct and manage light intensity in addition to a standard dimmer. The included Interview Microphone has a snap-on cold shoe mount that is compatible with any smartphone. The battery-free microphone is powered by your smartphone and is the best mic for voice recording over a live sound background. To get optimal audio quality suggested recording distance is between 2.2- 6 feet.

FAQ

Is the tripod included?

No, the Tripod is not included in this Evolution Rig.

Can mic be used with all smartphones or just an Apple iPhone?

This directional microphone comes with the standard 3.5 Audio Jack TRRS connector, which works with most of the phones without any extra connector.
However, some new phone models have Type-C USB, and if you have such a phone without an extra Jack, - extra connector is needed.
For iPhone starting with 8th series needed Audio Jack to Lightning connector (also not included in the kit).
But for most other phones, like Samsung, for instance, you can use the mic with the connection cable included in this set.
Yet, to use the mic with a DSLR camera, you may need TRRS to TRS adapter (4 contacts Audio Jack to 3 contacts Audio Jack).

Is the rig compatible with any tripod?

Yes, the rig has a universal tripod connector in the box. You need to slide
it on the bottom track and connect it to a tripod with its 1/4" standard stud
bolt. Details you can find in the manual.
