These 6 bottles of 2013 Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port are the perfect choice for winter, and come wrapped in the original winery crate, witha beautiful booklet about Quinta do Vesuvio - the last of the old school of vintage Ports: made in the original 1826 winery, in the original granite lagares, stomped by foot. The real deal.

It's an intense wine with floral, blackcurrant, and cassis notes and a powerful and attractive aroma arising from the predominance of Touriga Nacional combined with Alicante Bouschet. The presence of Touriga Franca and Sousão also adds complexity and spice.

This port was awarded 95 points by Robert Parker, who said "Seeming full bodied and quite dry in perception when opened, it kept getting sexier with air and time, the sugar and the sweet fruit eventually popping up. At the day mark, it was irresistible and sensationally delicious. On opening, this preened in its power, but its signature features will be the tasty fruit and powerful aromatics. Gripping and lingering on the finish, it is gorgeously constructed, nicely concentrated”
