Game Map
Product Description
Game Map is a street map made up from the titles of over 500 video games and other references from the history of gaming: from the early academic ventures of the 1950's such as OXO and Tennis for Two, entertainment franchises from the 80's and 90's like Super Mario, Street Fighter and Pokémon to contemporary bestsellers like Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed. The imaginary map is loosely based on an area of Tokyo, a city that was home to some of the all time classic arcade games of the late 1970's and early 1980's that paved the way for the modern day gaming industry.
The map features districts dedicated to survival horror (Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Sweet Home), beat ‘em ups (Street fighter, Streets of Rage, Double Dragon) and Nintendo classics (Super Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Land, Luigi’s Mansion) as well as many geeky ‘in’ references to entertain the most hardcore (or the oldest) of gamers. An A-Z key at the base of the map lists all the games featured along with their release date.
