The Swiss Saber
Product Description
The Swiss Sabre, or "Schweizerdegen", was popular in Switzerland during the High Middle Ages. The Swiss Sabers have single-edged, slightly curved blades, while the hilts were of various designs; some plain, others complex, with recurved quillions and rings and knuckle guards. By the late 16th century, specialized hilt forms began to emerge, often with pommels shaped as a lion’s head, or plated with silver.
Inspired by these sabers, this fantastical Swiss Saber is a two-handed, singled-edged Medieval sword, hailing from The Renaissance. The ringed hilt is typical of many 16th century swords, but the crown pommel is an original design, creating a truly one-of-a-kind piece that's ready for any high-fantasy adventure.
