About the Designer

Takuya Hoshiko was born in 1974 and graduated from Kuwusawa Design School. He became a graphic designer after spending time working in furniture upholstery and he holds a license in furniture craftsmanship.

With the NUMBER CUP, he attempts to invoke the 3rd dimension in numbers by giving them the ability to be picked up and held in your hand. In doing so he aims for the fun in numbers to be brought to life and enjoyed in ways they typically aren't.
