Contatempo Scuderia is dedicated to the Gilera Saturno motorcycle, which was made in Italy from 1946 to 1958. The first prototype of the Saturno racing motorcycles was equipped with a 32 mm Dell'Orto carburetor and presented in 1940; Massimo Masserini won the Targa Florio in Palermo on his first race with it. Growing up, Margaritelli fell in love with the Gilera Saturno, thanks to a close family friend, Umberto Masetti, winner in 1950 of the 500 cc World Championship with the Saturno.
CT Scuderia's Saturno collection strongly reflects its Italian DNA. Only 6,026 of the legendary Saturno motorbikes were ever made and left a lasting mark in motorcycle history. You can see the same caliber footprint of Margaritelli's Italian DNA within this collection.
