FAQ
With only 10-20 minutes of exposure to daylight or lamplight,
the CORE Glow⢠Stone can maintain its glow in the dark qualities for
about 10-12 hours. As for the life span? The 1/2 life of Strontium Aluminate is 18-20 years .
The Marble Stones do NOT need to be mixed into concrete. Placing them in flower pots is ideal. They will emit plenty of light for 10-12 hrs at night.
How long does the glow last? They will emit light for approximately 10-12 hrs.
Do they ârechargeâ during the day? Or only glow for 10-12 hours and then die, and theyâre done?Any exposure to light will excite the Core Glow compound, giving it a small charge, causing it to glow. The trick is to 'saturate' the Core Glow with as much light as it can take to ensure the long afterglow. This takes half an hour to an hour (to ensure a full charge). UV lights work great for a quick burst of super charged glow but this will not result in a full charge. Low light and shaded areas with ambient light will not result in a bright immediate glow but will charge the stones enough for a long afterglow.
Can you use it in a fish tank and not hurt the fish? No. Do NOT use in a fish tank. The marble will off-gas for a few days and has the potential to contaminate the water in the tank.
Can they be placed in a gas fireplace around the edges and not in direct flame? That is not recommended. They would get too hot. Extreme heat alters the glow.
