Is this the Model 3, 5, 6?

The Coravin Limited Edition Steel Blue is not part of the SmartClamps family of Coravin systems (Model 3, 5 and 6).

The Limited Edition is part of the legacy line-up and functionally, they perform exactly the same as the SmartClamps. All of our models that use the needle system will preserve your wine for weeks, months, or years.

What is the major difference between the gold and blue model other than color? Is the limited edition the latest in design?

Both models function exactly the same and both are what we call legacy models that feature the clamped design. The only other difference is the accessories that are featured with each model. Gold has 2 gas capsules and blue has 4 gas capsules.
