Does it require batteries?

No, it doesn't require batteries. It connects to the adapter via USB cable. (The USB cable is involved in LS166A3 and LS166A6)

How big is each light?

The side length of each hexagon is 4.5cm.
4.5cm is roughly 1.77in.

How are these panels supposed to be mounted on a wall? Is there included adhesive on the panels or does it require mounting screws and nails in order to be hung on the wall?

Wall brackets are sold separately, which need screws to mount it.

How many lights can be connected to a single power source?

10 pieces can be connected to a single power source.

Can you explain what the different bases, connectors, and fixers do please?

The base is used to place the lights. The connector is used to connect lights one by one, transmitting power and control signal. The fixer is used to make the connection solid, however, please note that fixer is not a must.

Do the panels stay lit when separated from the rest? If so, how long does it last?

The panels are DC 5V powered, no built-in battery, so it needs to connect to the controller and DC power.
