Olmec is a feisty tiki with a manly scowl and chipped tooth. The Olmec pendant has the almond shaped eyes, cleft head, downturned mouth and exposed gums of the Olmec rain deity, the were-jaguar. The origin of the were-jaguar widely debated, with theories ranging from the bedroom to the battlefield. Some believe that the monuments don't depict a jaguar at all, but a hallucinogenic indigenous toad instead.
