Can you be hooked to a USB port?

You can plug it into the 12V Accessory Socket, which most cars have.

Is the temperature adjustable? Or do you put your drink in there just to warm/cool it, and then toss the Valet in the back seat?

Specific temperature adjustment is not possible. There are only 2 options:
heating or cooling.
