The original desert boot was a masterpiece of utility, originally handmade in Cairo, Egypt and first worn by British troops in the desert campaign of WWII to stand up to the demands of the environment. These boots featured a crepe rubber sole instead of leather, making them lighter and softer underfoot — and therefore exceptionally comfortable. Bluprint's Indio Desert Boot borrows from the original with a simple three-piece suede upper pattern, while adding hallmark design elements and hidden technical attributes.
