1938 D Buffalo Nickel NGC 66 back off center error coin # 005

Being offered today is a super rare and superb example of a 1938 D Buffalo Nickel error coin!! If you look on the reverse of the coin, the strike is off-center, making this an error coin. Error coins are much harder to find because the mint highly scrutinizes all coins for a perfect strike. It is very rare that these coins are released from the mint into the public.

This Buffalo Nickel is graded by NGC in a Mint State 66. The NGC encapsulation guarantees the coin’s MS-66 condition. The coin is starting to show some beautiful toning on both sides of the coin.
