Product Description

Being offered today is a TONING high grade 1939 D (Denver) Walking Liberty Half Dollar. This beautiful coin is graded by PCGS in Mint State (MS) 65. You don’t see many 1939’s with this type of colors (TONING) starting to show on the coin.

Silver is hitting record highs. It’s up 26.39% since January 2024.

The coin is starting to show toning color signs of reds, blues, grey toning all over the obverse and reverse. It is going to develop more coloring with age. Grey to black is the highest color on the spectrum.

This coin is an unusually nice high-end survivor with a sharp strike. On the obverse of the coin, all of the lines on Miss Liberty’s dress, the lettering, the flowers, and the sun and rays are all well-defined. On the reverse, the eagle and all the feathers as well as the lettering are all well-defined also.

The obverse features an allegoric figure of Liberty holding olive branches against a rising sun. The reverse depicts an eagle with rising wings clutching a pine tree branch.

All of this adds to its visual eye appeal. Just what a coin in this condition should look like. Please see the pictures for details.

This note is encased and sealed by PCGS. Every PCGS certified coin is backed by the industry leading PCGS guarantee, which provides greater protection for both BUYERS AND SELLERS.
