In 1933, renowned designer Jeanne Toussaint, whose nickname was La Panthère, created Cartier's first panther piece - a bracelet for the Duchess of Windsor. Since then, Cartier's most-repeated symbol is that of the panther, which has come to represent the company as a whole.
