The longevity/freshness of the cigar depends on how well you take care of the cigar while stored in the humidor and how well you maintain the required temperature.

How does moisture control work?

There are two sponges provided (as pictured) that will need to be soaked in distilled water to keep the moisture inside the humidor. You will need to re-soak the sponge as needed to maintain the required temperature of your cigar.
