Released in 1984, The Terminator tells the story of a cyborg assassin who is sent back in time from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor. Sarah Connor is protected by a soldier from the future named Kyle Reese who is sent back to protect Connor because her future son is a key to the resistance.
