Named the Greatest Female Actress of All Time by the American Film Institute, Katherine Hepburn (1907-2003) won a record four Academy Awards for Best Actress and was nominated for another twelve during her 60-year acting career. This is a fully handwritten and autographed note by Hepburn during her 1958 performance as Beatrice in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, presented by the American Shakespeare Festival. This famous play toured the country during the first half of 1958, beginning late-January in St. Louis, eventually making its way to New York and Boston. This wonderful page, completely in Hepburn's hand, is dated by her, "February, 1958" .
